Singing for her supper

Well...The performance opportunities keep ringing in, but unfortunately the money does not.  Don't get me wrong, I do get paid ; ), but LIFE is just so freakin' expensive!  (Again, my mother was right.)

This summer I'm singing Rosalinde in Die Fledermaus with the Austrian American Mozart Academy in the Mozart Festival 2007.  I am very excited to be spending the summer singing in Europe, and Cam and I have been working hard to save the costs for my program.  But despite all of our attempts, we keep on being thrown curve balls (i.e. unexpected bills).   I am currently traveling back and forth to my hometown of Carmel, Indiana to organize a fundraising concert.  For more information on the concert, see my home page!  Keep your fingers crossed and pray that I will bring in enough donations!

Oh the opportunities...

Well, it has been a while since my last post.  So much has happened since Christmas 2006.

For starters, I got married to my wonderful husband, Campbell, in his hometown of beautiful Vancouver, B.C. (that's Canada folks). The wedding was perfect and we were able to bring together most of our best friends and family to share it with (some of whom we hadn't seen in almost 2 years!!!).

I am also working on a project with my good friend Ellen.  We are producing and staring in the Baroque opera Giulio Cesare that will open on April 21.  Thus far we have campus wide involvement with the production and the cast has been amazing.  In what other career would your best girlfriend play you lover, and your husband play you brother and husband?  That's right...brother AND husband.  Of course this was a normal marriage of royalty before Christ, and after.
